Overview

Travel Ready is a currency-conversion and travel-price information app. You can use the app without creating an account. We do not sell personal information, display third-party advertising or use your information for targeted advertising.

Information processed by the app

Information kept on your device

Your app preferences, favourites, conversion history and content saved for offline use are stored locally on your device. This information is used to provide the app’s features and offline access. It is not uploaded to a Travel Ready user account.

Network and app-usage information

When the app requests current exchange rates, travel information or images, its network requests are sent to the services that provide that content. As with ordinary internet traffic, those services may receive technical information such as your IP address, request time, device or browser information, and the requested resource. An IP address can indicate an approximate location, such as a city or region.

The requested content may also indicate which app features are used. Travel Ready uses these requests only to deliver app functionality. We do not use them to build advertising profiles.

Service providers and external links

Travel Ready uses service providers to obtain current exchange-rate information, provide travel information and display licensed images. These providers may receive the technical request information described above. We use service providers only as needed to operate and protect the app.

Tapping an external price or information source opens the relevant third-party website. That website’s privacy practices apply when you visit it.

Information we do not request

The current app does not request precise GPS location, contacts, photos, videos, microphone access, health information or payment information. It does not provide mobile-app accounts or social sign-in.

Data retention and deletion

Information stored by the app remains on your device until you clear it in the app, clear the app’s storage or uninstall the app. Travel Ready does not maintain a mobile-app account containing your conversion history or favourites.

Security

The app uses encrypted HTTPS connections when requesting online content. No method of internet transmission or electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but we limit data use to what is needed to provide and protect the service.

Children

Travel Ready is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly create profiles for children or knowingly collect personal information from them through a mobile-app account.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app’s features or service providers change. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the latest version.
